Artist, Isabelle Boreham Creates Sustainable Innovation by Design

Creative director and founder of La Source Green Collection, Isabelle Boreham's favourite vacations include nature trails, and visiting family and friends along the way in Europe.  She loves to experience new cultures and ways of living.

Her distinctive artworks are inspired by both the Australian landscape and her French background. After working in Paris, London, and New York, Isabelle settled in Australia charmed by the people, energy and beauty and she recently founded La Source Green Collection, a design studio based in Sydney and the bush, known for its colours and handmade creations.

Creativity is at the heart of La Source, promoting sustainable innovation by design, through its sustainable production techniques. The Green Collection is unique and playful, and celebrates eco-friendly gifts through “eco-living, thoughtful giving”.

Isabelle's travel inspires her to design her beautiful range of Eco Living Gifts and Artworks and here she shares her top 5 travel tips:

 1. Travelling is about sharing so I always bring Aussie gifts with me and of course I just pick them out of my La Source Green Collection. They're charming original gifts made in Australia and the best part of all is that they are light, easy to pack and not a worry like that perfume bottle in your suitcase!

2.  I always do research on the destination I'm travelling to and sometimes even learn a few foreign phrases. One mustn’t plan too much as the best part of travelling is the adventure! I enjoy less structured multi-day tours and I am not adverse to a night or two in a home stay or B&B

3.  Bring a notebook and (lots!) of pens so you can do some sketching, and write about all the wonderful places and people you meet along your journey.

4. Talk to locals! They know the best places to dine and drink, don’t be afraid to crack out your phrase book, you might just find the best pasta in the world that way!

5. Don’t be afraid to talk to new people and make new friends. I always bring extra gifts from my range to give to those I meet along my travels. The small gesture of giving gifts can truly help cement friendships for life.
