Cruise Global, Eat Local
Forget the tourist traps and overcrowded “hotspots!” with Azamara Club Cruises. 'Cruise Global, Eat Local' is kicking off in Europe this summer including 35 restaurant recommendations across 27 European ports including La Gomera, Canary Islands; Split, Croatia; Santorini, Greece; Sorrento, Italy; Barcelona, Spain; and Marseille, France.
The up-market, boutique cruise line, that brings guests to the most desirable and remote port destinations worldwide, announced a new dining program designed to please the finickiest of pallets. Their new 'Cruise Global, Eat Local' program boasts meals at a deliciously curated selection of local restaurants affording guests to eat where locals love to eat.
Each destination offers an authentic local dining experience that will satisfy the most discerning of palates and provide an inside taste of the local culture.
“Azamara offers guests true destination immersion through our Land Discoveries, AzAmazing Evenings, Nights & Cool Places and Insider Access programs,” says Larry Pimentel, President and CEO of Azamara Club Cruises. “Through 'Cruise Global, Eat Local,' we are yet again taking our destination expertise to the next level by bringing guests to the best and most authentic local restaurants while in ports of call across the globe. Guests are always asking our concierges where to dine once in port and where the locals like to eat. This program is the answer!”
There are three ways to enjoy this destination experience with Azamara Club Cruises:
1. Pair lunch with a tour — Following select half-day excursions, coaches journey to the selected Cruise Global, Eat Local restaurant for the ultimate in destination immersion dining experience.
2. Take a private car — Azamara will arrange private transportation to and from the restaurant.
3. Go independently — Azamara will help the guest select a restaurant to enjoy. Restaurants are within proximity of the ship.
