High Tea with The Old Masters Conservatorium Hotel, Amsterdam

To celebrate the incredible jubilee year of art and cultural renewal in Amsterdam, the Conservatorium Hotel is introducing a new Old Masters afternoon tea for guests and visitors, inspired by the still life paintings of the Dutch Golden Age hanging in the newly-reopened Rijksmuseum, a stone's throw from the hotel. 

The tea menu is designed by Chef Schilo Van Coevorden of acclaimed restaurant Tunes and is composed of delicious pastries and savoury delicacies made with local and seasonal ingredients: “Ossenwort” Burger, Harring on rye bread, Apple and raisins scones and the Rijks pastries – miniature edible paintings made of raspberries, mocha and advocaat, a typical Dutch liquor – created in homage to the Rijksmuseum. The Conservatorium is part of the renewal of Amsterdam’s “Oud-Zuid”, the Old South.

The opening of the hotel in 2011 coincided with the re-opening of the newly refurbished Stedelijk Museum. After almost ten years of renovation, the world famous Rijksmuseum has just re-opened and will soon be followed by the re-opening of the Van Gogh Museum on the 1^st of May.
