Mobility is easy with a Luggie from Scooters Australia
After a stint in hospital with a very painful back issue, a three-night cruise, aboard P&O’s Pacific Jewel almost had to be cancelled.
Normally able to walk I could not get around and if I had to walk for more than five minutes or so the pain was excruciating. What to do? We were going with friends and we had all really been looking forward to it.
Luckily we heard about an electric scooter called the Luggie and thanks to Peter Fraser, Jane Ramsey and the team at Scooters Australia we were all able to enjoy the cruise.
Scooters Australia has been selling and servicing mobility scooters ever since 1993 when Warringah Mall in Sydney purchased three Suzuki mobility scooters from them. As it turns out my husband has a store at Warringah Mall – such a small world!
To me, the Luggie is “worth its weight in platinum!”
It’s an extremely portable electric scooter that is accepted by all airline companies and cruise ship lines so, if you have mobility issues, with a Luggie you can still travel almost anywhere in the world in style and luxury.
And the comments we received from our taxi driver who had to load and unload it into the cab, to cruise terminal staff and passengers on board was amazing. They all loved it.
In summary, if you need mobility with style and ease of use, this one-piece, folding scooter is extremely portable and convenient. It offers up to 20km on one charge –the battery plugs into a normal power point so no issues there – a variable speed of up to 6km/per hour and excellent maneuverability. Plus, it takes less than a minute to fold and unfold.
I could easily take it into to all the restaurants, bars, shops and everywhere else we wanted to go on the ship.
Scooters Australia has a full network of outlets throughout Australia, plus three warehouses, so purchase on-line or in person is easy. They also service or repair other brands of scooters.
